Real Estate Magazine -The typical CIRE reader is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) or is working toward the designation. CCIMS are recognized specialists in commercial and investment real estate because the requirements to obtain the designation include extensive field experience and rigorous classroom instruction.

The majority of CIRE readers have been employed in the industry for 15 years or more. More than two-thirds hold executive-level positions and are directly involved in their companies' purchasing processes.

Since their businesses require extensive field work, CIRE readers routinely use the latest communications tools, digital products, and wireless technology. They also regularly utilize software for contact management, transaction management, accounting, presentations, lease analysis, property management, and demographics/GIS.
