House hunters have made a record one million visits to email4property.co.uk, the largest network of local websites for estate agents in the UK, in their search for a local agent.
Time poor buyers are flocking to the site which allows them to identify local agents online, contacting multiple agents via e-mail in an attempt to cut out the time previously spent visiting individual agents on the local high street.
The fast-growing site, now owned by Smart Media Services Ltd is proving increasingly popular with agents, who are reaping the benefits of signing up to the site.
As more consumers turn to the internet when commencing the search for their next home, visitors are using the property portal to search for the estate agents in their area. Consumers then gain direct access to agents’ websites, allowing them to identify and contact agents within a matter of minutes.
David Bexon, Managing Director of Smart Media Services Ltd said: “Since email4property.co.uk came on board in June we have seen visitor numbers on the site soar. It’s a great tool for consumers, enabling then to search for agents in their area and make direct contact with them – either individually via their website or via the ‘send an e-mail to all agents’ service, which allows consumers to detail the type of property they are looking for and circulate it to all relevant agents with one click. “We currently have over 4,000 agents signed up to the site, with numbers increasing on a daily basis. With additional local information and tips on buying and selling in different areas across the country the site is proving a great tool for those consumers who are commencing their property search online.”
Individual visits to the site exceeded one million in August, reaching record figures and taking total visits for 2006 to over 7.5 million. Visitor sessions are up 170% since the same time last year, with the sites popularity looking set to continue.
